As a Design Lead, I am responsible for leading, mentoring, and hiring the product design team. My role is to ensure that the team produces high-quality design solutions that align with user needs and business objectives. I also play a crucial role in designing the product experience, strategy, and vision for millions of users worldwide.

Throughout the years, I have participated in various projects. I've redesigned the mobile, tablet, and desktop apps and was behind the initial designs for TV and wearable devices. I worked on a new player experience with features like Lyrics, Credits, and Live. I assisted the marketing team with in-app branding and playlists. Additionally, I guided the transition from Photoshop to Sketch and later to Figma and created our initial Design System.

Together with Yavor and Joe, we are building an app and community for book lovers searching for a more minimal and privacy-focused alternative to Goodreads. As the sole designer, I am responsible for developing the brand, product, and overall vision and direction. Oku is available on web, iOS, and Android.

Poolside FM is a super-summer music website with a '90s Mac-inspired interface. I assisted Niek, Lewis and Marty launch v2 in 2019 by contributing to design details and overall direction. Several websites featured it, including The Verge and TechCrunch.

Foreignrap is a music website that showcases Hip Hop music from around the world inspired by VHS tapes. Thomas and I got the idea for this after we started sharing music on Twitter. In 2017, we worked with Ariel to create v1, which Vice and The Next Web featured. By 2020, Thomas and I met up in Paris for a week and teamed up with Jimmy to design and build v2.

After being featured in The Next Web, Slate Magazine, and other publications for my Samsung Redesign project, Opera's Art Director contacted me via email. They asked if I would like to be part of their team in Norway, leading a complete brand and app redesign. I agreed to the move and relocated from the Netherlands. In my position as a Design Lead on this project, we've worked with Anti and DixonBaxi to give Opera a new look. This new brand was rolled out across the company, impacting everything from the website and marketing to brand materials and applications.
